The Cedarville Opera House Society, Inc., an Ohio, not for profit corporation, shall exist for the purpose of bringing together those people who are interested in documenting the history of the Cedarville community and thereby encouraging the preservation and promotion of the cultural heritage of Cedarville and the surrounding community through acquiring, preserving, and displaying historical artifacts, documents, pictures, and items of historical or educational significance.

Through the Opera House, the Society desires to provide educational programs, dramatic productions, and musical presentations at the discretion of the Board of Directors. The Society also desires to disseminate information to arouse interest in the past by publishing literature, brochures, advertisements and promotional materials relating to the functions, programs, and projects of the Society.

The Society is dependant upon annual membership dues, programs, and contributions to supply needed funds for operational expenses. Memberships are open to the public and play a vital role in paying for utilities, supplies, and insurance.

The Cedarville Opera House Society envisions the building becoming, once again, a center of activity with high quality performances and performers reaching audiences far beyond our Miami Valley area. The Society is further committed to establishing a museum containing historical artifacts and endeavoring to instill in our young people the importance of knowing and preserving their cultural and historical heritage.
